2017 Outlook
Depth Chart
Mohamed Sanu rebounded from a poor 2015 to post fantasy totals that made him ownable in deeper formats last year. However, the emergence of Taylor Gabriel as the team's second best big-play wide receiver limited Sanu to only 653 receiving yards and four touchdowns in a year that saw almost everyone in the offense post gaudy numbers. That doesn't bode well for his 2017 fantasy outlook. He has enough size to be a factor in the red zone, but remains the third or fourth best option in those scenarios as well. The former Bengal posted fewer than five fantasy points in eight of the 15 regular season contests during his first year in the offense. As a result, fantasy owners should once again view him as matchup dependent player that offers some value in deeper leagues.

HC notes Julio Jones lack of involvement
Dan Quinn unsatisfied with how often top WR is getting the ball
By: Doug Orth | Mon Oct 16, 6:50 pm

Atlanta Falcons
Falcons HC Dan Quinn said when asked if he's satisfied with how much Julio Jones is getting the ball. "No, I'm not." Quinn mentioned that more offensive plays will help that situation, with Jones being such a dynamic player. (ESPN - Vaughn McClure)

FFToday's Take: Excluding Week 4 in which he left early due to injury, Jones is averaging over 8.25 in his other four outings. While that number should be a bit higher, it has been the quality (i.e. lack of red zone looks) rather than the quantity of targets that has been the biggest problem. Perhaps the most telling stat: part-timer Taylor Gabriel (five) and Mohamed Sanu (three) each have more red zone targets than Jones (two) so far. Given his track record, he remains a great buy-low.
