2016 Outlook
Depth Chart
A former first round pick back in 2012, Kendall Wright continues to frustrate coaches, quarterbacks and fantasy owners ever since the 94-1079-2 statline he posted in 2013. Despite high expectations from the coaching staff, Wright has competition to be the team’s most productive fantasy wideout in 2016. He doesn’t provide much touchdown potential nor does he blow the top off the defense on a consistent basis. The fact that the coaching staff may insert him into the slot further dampens his fantasy outlook. Perhaps the motivation of being a pending free agent at season’s end will provide an extra spark in Wright’s game to see him emerge as a more popular target for Marcus Mariota. The new regime in Tennessee is focused on getting more production from its receivers and Wright is in the mix but the leash is short… on the plus side it does remain attached. Fantasy owners should consider the Titans’ passing attack a fluid situation and make a point to check back often to gauge the value of Wright and his teammates.

Titans sign Andre Johnson
Two-year contract
By: Mike Krueger | Fri Jul 29, 2:00 pm

Tennessee Titans
The Tennessee Titans agreed to terms with veteran wide receiver Andre Johnson on Friday. The Titans have not disclosed terms of the deal, but sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter that Johnson will sign a two-year contract. (ESPN)

FFToday's Take: The Titans have a volatile receiving corps (Kendall Wright, Justin Hunter, Dorial Green-Beckham, Rishard Matthews) with the most dependable being TE Delanie Walker. It's difficult to see Johnson making a significant impact given how slow he looked last year with Colts in limited duty.

Sharpe, Matthews lead Titans WR battle
Green-Beckham considered "wild-card" of the group
By: Doug Orth | Thu Jul 14, 10:00 pm

Tennessee Titans
Rookie Tajae Sharpe has been the talk of camp. The other starting receiver thus far has been free agent import Rishard Matthews, who is cut from the same cloth as Sharpe, in that route-running and good hands are his trademarks as well. The Titans have told Kendall Wright that he must be more precise in his routes, and his role now looks to be as a slot receiver. The wild-card in the receiver corps is second-year pro Dorial Green-Beckham. HC Mike Mularkey has emphasized that DGB must become more of a student of the game and get himself in top shape. (Titans Insider)

FFToday's Take: DGB owners shouldn't give up hope quite yet as the coaches would lose credibility if they name him the starter before he "proves it" in camp, but this is another reminder he is still very much an unfinished product and a risky fantasy bet. Matthews has as good of a chance as anybody to lead this group in receptions, although TE Delanie Walker should be considered the top passing-game target. Consider Matthews a WR4 and just about any other Titans' wideout a WR5 or beyond.

Justin Hunter could be odd man out
Projecting the Titans WR group
By: Mike Krueger | Mon May 9, 8:45 am

Tennessee Titans
So if Tajae Sharpe - who caught 111 passes last season for Massachusetts - looks good, it could mean trouble for Justin Hunter. The former second-round pick missed almost half of last year and hasn’t caught as many as 30 passes in three years. (The Tennessean)

FFToday's Take: The Titans drafted the rookie Sharpe in the 5th round and assuming Rishard Matthews, Kendall Wright, Dorial Green-Beckham and Harry Douglas have roster spots locked up, Hunter could be on the outside looking in. While showing unique athleticism, Hunter has yet to crack 500 receiving yards in any of his three seasons.
