Injury TE Jordan Reed ruled out
Hamstring injury
By: Mike Krueger | Fri Nov 21, 1:10 pm

Washington Redskins
Also ruled out of Sunday’s game is tight end Jordan Reed, who had already missed four games with a hamstring injury. He’s now sidelined by a strain in his other hamstring. (Washington Post)

FFToday's Take: Reed has immense talent but can't stay on the field. Reed has now missed time this season because of injuries to both his hamstrings. Niles Paul will fill-in and is a worth a look for TE-desperate owners and salary relief in daily games.

Injury Jordan Reed has new hamstring injury
Washington TE not 100 percent heading into Week 12
By: Antonio D'Arcangelis | Tue Nov 18, 10:20 am

Washington Redskins
Tight end Jordan Reed strained his right hamstring -- he dealt with a strained left hamstring earlier this season. Linebacker Trent Murphy has a partial tear of the posterior cruciate ligament, but Gruden said, "It's something he can play with if he can deal with a little bit of soreness." (ESPN)

FFToday's Take: Reed just can't stay healthy. Expect TE Niles Paul to see more snaps until Reed can get back to 100 percent.

Injury Jordan Reed a gametime decision
HC: "still not quite there yet"
By: Mike Krueger | Fri Oct 10, 1:20 pm

Washington Redskins
Tight end Jordan Reed (hamstring) is listed as questionable. He practiced in a limited capacity. Gruden said Reed is “still not quite there yet,” but that he expected that the second-year pro would be a game-time decision. Reed has maintained that if everything proceeded without a hitch this week, he expects to play. (Washington Post)

FFToday's Take: Reed isn't a lock to play as of Friday so check the Inactive list on Sunday before putting the Redskins tight end in your lineup. Niles Paul would start if Reed sits.

Injury Niles Paul expected to play Monday night
Full practice on Friday
By: Mike Krueger | Fri Oct 3, 3:50 pm

Washington Redskins
Tight end Niles Paul passed the final stage of testing in accordance with the NFL’s concussion protocol and practiced fully on Friday. The fourth-year veteran sustained a concussion in last Thursday’s game against the New York Giants and had been limited in practice all of this week. Paul is now expected to play in Monday’s game against the Seattle Seahawks. (Washington Post)

FFToday's Take: Jordan Reed was limited Friday with a hamstring strain. His availability for Monday remains uncertain. Paul appears to be the tight end to own in Washington this week assuming he has no setbacks.

Injury Jordan Reed expected to miss Week 4
Hamstring injury
By: Mike Krueger | Tue Sep 23, 4:30 pm

Washington Redskins
According to John Keim of and multiple other reporters who cover the team, tight end Jordan Reed indicated Tuesday he’s doubtful to play Thursday night vs. the Giants because of a lingering hamstring injury. (ProFootballTalk)

FFToday's Take: Reed missed practice Tuesday ahead of the Redskins Thursday night game against the Giants. This means Niles Paul owners get another week of TE1 from their waiver wire claim.

Injury Jordan Reed out, DeSean Jackson questionable
Niles Paul on the TE1 radar
By: Mike Krueger | Fri Sep 19, 11:45 am

Washington Redskins
Wide receiver DeSean Jackson took part in some individual drills during Friday’s practice and will be listed as questionable for the Washington Redskins’ game on Sunday at Philadelphia. Tight end Jordan Reed (hamstring) has been ruled out. (Washington Post)

FFToday's Take: A converted wide receiver, Niles Paul torched the Jaguars in Week 2 to the tune of 8 catches, 99 yards and 1 TD. If DeSean Jackson is limited or sits on Sunday, Paul would become the No.2 receiving option for Kirk Cousins. Jackson will test his shoulder in pregame warmups and be a gametime decision.

Injury Jordan Reed "could miss some time"
Injured hamstring on only catch of Week 1
By: Doug Orth | Mon Sep 8, 3:30 pm

Washington Redskins
TE Jordan Reed has shown flashes of great talent in his brief NFL career, but a concussion kept him out of seven games as a rookie and now another injury is threatening to cost him time in his second season with the Redskins. Reed hurt his hamstring while trying to hurdle a defender in the first half of Sunday’s loss to the Texans. Reed didn’t return to the game after the injury and coach Jay Gruden said at Monday’s press conference that it “could be some time” before he’s ready to return. (Pro Football Talk)

FFToday's Take: Niles Paul - a former college receiver - stepped up in a big way after Reed's departure and could give Washington some of the same explosiveness Reed does at the position if he is forced to miss multiple weeks. Given how conservative Gruden was with his passing attack in Week 1, Paul could actually be a worthwhile fantasy pickup while Reed is away.

Injury Jordan Reed to have MRI on hamstring
Niles Paul fills in
By: Mike Krueger | Sun Sep 7, 10:10 pm

Washington Redskins
Jordan Reed, who missed seven games as a rookie because of thigh, knee and concussion issues, injured his hamstring while trying to pick up extra yardage on a four-yard reception late in the first quarter. Niles Paul took Reed’s place along with Logan Paulsen in two-tight end sets. (Washington Post)

FFToday's Take: Reed will have an MRI on his hamstring according to head coach Jay Gruden. He said the injury was a concern and hinted that Reed could miss some time. Reed owners should be making other plans for their tight end position for at least Week 2 and likely beyond. Niles Paul caught four passes for 86 yards on four targets in Reed's absence.
