| Lamar Miller no worse for wear after Week 10|
Dolphins promote LaMichael James from practice squad
By: Doug Orth | Mon Nov 10, 2:40 pm
|It is apparently not as it bad as it looks for Miami Dolphins RB Lamar Miller (separated AC joint). He carried only four times, which was the fewest time this year and less than either Daniel Thomas or Damien Williams. The Dolphins also informed practice squad RB LaMichael James on Monday that he was being promoted to the 53-man roster.
But a source tells me Miller "is fine" and that he did not reinjure his shoulder in Week 10. He can practice this week (if that's what trainers decide) and play against the Buffalo Bills on Thursday, barring another setback to the shoulder. (Miami Herald)|
FFToday's Take: The promotion of James would typically mean that Miller was a question for Thursday's AFC East battle with Buffalo, but it appears to be a play-it-safe move more than anything else. Regardless, the Bills possess one of the best run defenses in the league, making any Dolphins' running back a flex play at best in Week 10.
| Lamar Miller suffers shoulder injury in Week 9|
Sprained AC joint
By: Doug Orth | Mon Nov 3, 4:00 pm
|Lamar Miller left Sundayís game late in the third quarter with a shoulder injury. As part of its examination, the teamís medical staff asked Miller to lift his hand over his head. He could only get it about halfway. Flash-forward to the victorious locker room, and he showed a similar difficulty when putting on his shirt.
But Miller, who rushed for 49 yards and a touchdown on 11 carries, said he only sustained a stinger and could have returned to the game, had that outcome not already been decided. (Miami Herald)|
FFToday's Take: Dolphins beat writer Armando Salguero tweeted Monday that Miller was diagnosed with a sprained AC joint - the same injury that has bothered DeSean Jackson and Jordan Cameron this season. Given Miller's position, he is at a much higher risk of aggravating the injury than Jackson or Cameron. Thus, Damien Williams and Daniel Thomas - in that order - should be considered as must-have handcuffs until further notice.
