Vikings agree with Greg Jennings -- Fri Mar 15 7:15 pm --
Five-year deal | Former Green Bay Packers wide receiver Greg Jennings has reached an agreement with the Minnesota Vikings, a league source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter. (ESPN)
FF Today's Take: Jennings appeared in eight games last year due to a hamstring injury and turned in his worst season as a pro (36 rec, 366 yds, 4 TDs). The Vikings had little choice but to sign Jennings after trading away their main receiving threat (Percy Harvin) to the Seahawks. He'll be the focus of the Vikings passing offense next season but will have a hard time cracking WR1 territory without significant improvement from QB Christian Ponder.

Vikings sign veteran for QB competition | Matt Cassel wasn't out of work long after being released by the Kansas City Chiefs on Thursday as the quarterback has agreed to a contract with the Minnesota Vikings, a source confirmed to ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter. Cassel will compete for the starting job with incumbent starter Christian Ponder, the source said. (ESPN)
FF Today's Take: Cassel's best effort came in 2010 (3116 yds, 27 TDs, 7 INTs). Since then he has been a turnover machine throwing 21 INTs to only 16 touchdowns. The Vikings will need to add a receiver before either Cassel or Ponder is can be considered by fantasy owners.
