Veteran could push Gabbert for starting job
Chad Henne has agreed on a two-year deal to join the Jaguars, according to a league source. Landing in Jacksonville could give Henne the opportunity to re-claim his status as an NFL starter if Blaine Gabbert continues to struggle in his second season. The Jaguars have a new head coach, Mike Mularkey, who wasn’t a part of the organization when Gabbert was drafted. (NFL.com)

FF Today's Take: Henne's signing should light a fire under Blaine Gabbert, who mustered a QB rating of just 65.4 as a rookie in 2011. The addition of Henne, wide receiver Laurent Robinson and the hiring of former offensive coordinator Mike Mularkey as coach should give a boost to the Jaguars passing game, which ranked last in the NFL in 2011 with 156.9 yards per game.
