| Chris Hogan misses practice Wednesday|
By: Mike Krueger | Wed Nov 15, 4:00 pm
|Mike Reiss of ESPN.com reports that wide receiver Chris Hogan is also back in Foxborough receiving treatment on the shoulder injury that kept him from playing against the Broncos last Sunday. (Pro Football Talk)|
FFToday's Take: The Patriots are practicing this week in Colorado as they get preparted to play the Raiders in Mexico City at high altitude. With Hogan away from the team, it appears unlikely he will play in Week 11. Brandin Cooks, Danny Amendola and Phillip Dorsett will be the top wideouts for Brady this week.
| Chris Hogan misses practice Wednesday|
Arm still in a sling
By: Mike Krueger | Wed Nov 8, 3:30 pm
|Wide receiver Chris Hogan (shoulder), right tackle Marcus Cannon (ankle) and defensive tackle Malcom Brown (ankle) missed another practice today, leaving each player's status in question for the Patriots’ trip to Denver this weekend. (Boston Herald)|
FFToday's Take: Fantasy owners should have plan B in place for Hogan who is still dealing with a shoulder injury. Expect Brandin Cooks, Danny Amendola and Phillip Dorsett to be the top 3 wideouts for Brady against the Broncos.
| Danny Amendola gametime decision|
Confidence he will go
By: Mike Krueger | Sun Oct 29, 7:30 am
|#Patriots WR Danny Amendola, questionable with a hyperextended knee, is a game-time decision today, though there's confidence he'll go. (Ian Rapoport on Twitter)|
FFToday's Take: It sounds like Amendola will be active but he will be tough to trust given his injury and the plethora of other weapons at Tom Brady's disposal.
| Danny Amendola working through knee issue|
Suffered hyperextension in Week 7
By: Doug Orth | Thu Oct 26, 5:50 pm
|Danny Amendola hyperextended his knee during a punt return Sunday against the Falcons, according to a source. The issue kept him from practicing (Wednesday), but he returned (Thursday). It’s not an ideal injury, but it’s also not a major ordeal. The 31-year-old could play through it Sunday against the Chargers, but it also wouldn’t be a shock if the Patriots decided to dial back his workload with the bye week on the horizon. The hyperextended knee is truly a day-to-day situation as it really depends on how it responds to rest and treatment. His presence for today’s walk-through was at least an indication that he is in the weekly game plan. (Boston Herald - Jeff Howe)|
FFToday's Take: Given Amendola's injury history, it wouldn't be surprising if New England opts to rest him, although if the Chargers' have a weak link among their cornerbacks, it may be rookie slot CB Desmond King. Amendola makes sense to use as a low-end WR3 in PPR leagues this week if he goes, but owners will obviously need to make sure he is cleared to play sometime this weekend.
| Gronkowski not expected to play, thigh injury|
Gronk to miss Week 5
By: Mike Krueger | Thu Oct 5, 6:00 pm
|Updated: Patriots’ TE Rob Gronkowski is not expected to play tonight vs Bucs, per source. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)|
FFToday's Take: We got word earlier today that Gronk could be limited, but not it appears he will sit out Thursday night. Dwayne Allen should fill the tight end role but he's difficult to trust as anything more than a TE2 given his limited usage this season (0 catches). Expect more work in the passing game to go to Chris Hogan, Danny Amendola and James White.
| Gronkowski, Amendola back at practice|
Rex Burkhead sits
By: Mike Krueger | Wed Sep 20, 1:00 pm
|TE Rob Gronkowski (groin) is present at practice today, as are LB Dont'a Hightower (knee) and WR Danny Amendola (concussion/knee). (Mike Reiss on Twitter)|
FFToday's Take: This confirms that Gronk's goin injury last week was minor. He should be good to go in Week 3 barring any setback. Amendola's presence will likely put a dent in the fantasy value of Chris Hogan who is dealing with a knee injury. Rex Burkhead (ribs) missed practice Wednesday.
| Amendola ruled out for Patriots|
Pats to feature RBs in the passing game?
By: Mike Krueger | Fri Sep 15, 3:00 pm
|The New England Patriots will be without starting linebacker Dont'a Hightower and top slot receiver Danny Amendola for Sunday's road game against the New Orleans Saints, as the club has officially ruled them out with injuries. (ESPN)|
FFToday's Take: With Amendola out, Chris Hogan and Brandin Cooks should be Tom Brady's top wideout targets. Belichick may opt to use his running backs (James White, Rex Burkhead, Dion Lewis) more in the passing game as newly acquired Phillip Dorsett is the only other healthy receiver on the roster.
| Danny Amendola misses practice Thursday|
Concussion, knee injury make keep Pats receiver out Week 2
By: Mike Krueger | Thu Sep 14, 1:30 pm
|While Dont'a Hightower (knee) & Danny Amendola (concussion/knee) remain absent at practice, DT Vincent Valentine (No. 99/knee) returns. (ESPN)|
FFToday's Take: Amendola could practice Friday but barring a significant turnaround, it's unlikely he will play this week leaving Brandin Cooks and Chris Hogan as the primary wide receivers for Tom Brady. More running back usage could also be in the Patriots gameplan against the Saints.
