Bears sign TE Josh Hill to offer sheet
Saints have 5 days to match

Bears have signed Saints TE Josh Hill to an offer sheet as a restricted free agent. New Orleans has 5 days to match. (Brad Biggs on Twitter)
FFToday's Take: It's reportedly a three-year deal for the Saints tight end that never lived up to his early pre-season hype in 2015. Since Hill was an undrafted free agent, the Saints will get no draft pick compensation if they choose not to match the offer sheet. The Bears recently resigned Zach Miller as their starting tight end. Hill will be a player to keep an eye on as pre-season practices begin this Summer.
Martellus Bennett headed to New England
Bears to receive draft pick compensation

Wheeling and dealing continues: Bears are trading TE Martellus Bennett to Patriots for draft-pick compensation, league sources tell ESPN. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)
FFToday's Take: Bennett was on the trading block last year but a deal never materialized. The Patriots have made two tight ends fantasy viable in the past so it's not out of the question that Bennett could be option No.3 in the passing game behind Rob Gronkowski and WR Julian Edelman. He'll have TE2 value in redraft leagues with huge upside as injury insurance for Gronkowski. Bennett's departure vaults Bears tight end Zach Miller into low-TE1 value.
Bears re-sign TE Zach Miller, two-year deal
Martellus Bennett entering final year of contract
By: Mike Krueger | Mon Mar 14, 8:00 pm
the 31-year-old tight end Zach Miller re-signed with the Bears, finalizing a two-year deal that will keep him in Chicago. Miller enjoyed a career year with the Chicago Bears in 2015, recording 34 catches, 439 yards and five touchdowns. (Chicago Tribune)
FFToday's Take: Martellus Bennett remains on the team but trade speculation has surrounded him ever since last season. If he leaves, Miller could have low-TE1 value. He posted 18 catches while averaging 70 yards over the last three weeks of 2015.
TE Zach Miller wants big contract
Reportedly seeking $5 million per year
By: Mike Krueger | Tue Feb 2, 1:45 pm
here have been some robust pay days for tight ends since the end of the season and while those deals are out of the realm of what Zach Miller could command, the veteran is still seeking a big contract. Miller, who had a breakout second half of the season for the Chicago Bears, is asking for $5 million per year in a new contract, sources with knowledge of the situation told the Tribune. Unless that target figure drops in negotiations, itís difficult to imagine a deal getting done before he becomes an unrestricted free agent in March. (Chicago Tribune)
FFToday's Take: A veteran, Miller didn't sniff the regular season from 2012-2014 and now wants a sizeable pay increase after seven-week resurgence while Martellus Bennett was hurt. The Bears were rumored to be shopping Bennett last off-season so there is some merit for the club bringing Miller back, but it would likely be at a lower price than Miller and his agent are currently floating.
