The Titans are not expected to re-sign Bo Scaife in 2011, so Cook will get his first chance for significant playing time. He possesses good size at 6’5” and 246 pounds and is one of the faster tight ends in the league. That’s why he was touted as an athletic tight end coming out of South Carolina in the 2009 draft, and that’s why the Titans used a third-round pick to acquire him. Unfortunately, he rarely saw the field until the tail end of the 2010 season. The results were promising, however, with Cook catching 15 of his 21 targets (a tidy completion percentage of 71.4) for 196 yards and one touchdown, averaging 8.5 fantasy points per game during that stretch. Quarterback Matt Hasselbeck likes throwing to tight ends, and you can expect the same from rookie Jake Locker if he is inserted into the starting lineup. Cook is definitely worth a look in dynasty leagues and as your TE2 in redraft leagues.

Jared Cook to get more involved? -- Tue Dec 20 1:05 am --
HC hints at getting more work for his TE | TE Jared Cook had season highs in catches (nine) and yards (103) in Sunday's loss, but lost a critical fumble early in the fourth quarter. “Everything was perfect but the ending of it,” coach Mike Munchak said. “You're at a tough angle as a receiver. No one fumbles because they want to.” (CBS Sports)
FF Today's Take: Despite being a one-trick tight end, Cook has been one of the most under-utilized players in the NFL this season. Cook is a physical mismatch in the passing game, so Tennessee would be wise to see what he can do as a featured player in the offense. The Titans' Week 16 opponent, Jacksonville, have been one of the more friendly matchups for TEs this season, so Cook has low-end TE1 potential this week.
| | Jared Cook practices in full Thursday -- Thu Dec 1 7:45 pm --
Concussion likely won`t keep Titans TE out this week | Jared Cook (concussion) was upgraded to full participation in Thursday's practice.

FF Today's Take: All signs point to Cook being available on Sunday. He is listed among one of the Tight End Sleepers for Week 13 and could be played if owners are in a pinch.
