2017 Outlook
Depth Chart
After posting the second-most rushing touchdowns (13) in his eight-year NFL career, Shady McCoy vaulted himself back into a consensus first round draft pick in all formats. Despite losing 8 rushing touchdowns to former Bill Mike Gillislee, McCoy was still able to score 14 total touchdowns in 15 games last season.

McCoy is set to surpass the 2000-carry plateau this season to go along with over 400 career receptions, begging the question when the oft-injured 29-year-old running back will finally break down for good.

When healthy, McCoy is still one of the most dynamic players in the game, as evident to his impressive 4.7 career yard per carry average. As the lead back for a Buffalo team that led the NFL in rushing yards over the past two seasons, McCoy has a chance to finish the season as a top 3 running back in both standard and PPR formats. But owners who draft McCoy may want to consider investing in a viable replacement option or handcuff Jonathan Williams, as McCoy has managed to play a full 16-game schedule in only two of his eight seasons, and has yet to do so with the Bills.

Injury LeSean McCoy expected to play
Gametime decision
By: Mike Krueger | Sun Jan 7, 9:00 am

Buffalo Bills
#Bills RB LeSean McCoy, who will play today despite a gimpy ankle, has watched more film this week than usual to compensate for physical limitations. (Ian Rapoport on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: Adam Schefter reported last night that McCoy was expected to play. There's no doubt McCoy won't be 100 percent on his sprained ankle. As a result, he's not a recommended fantasy option this week. Mike Tolbert and Marcus Murphy are next up on the depth chart.

Injury McCoy limited at practice Friday
WRs Benjamin, Thompson also limited
By: Mike Krueger | Fri Jan 5, 11:15 am

Buffalo Bills
Bills LB Matt Milano (hamstring) will not practice Friday but coach Sean McDermott said Friday there is "hope" that Milano can play. TE Charles Clay (knee), QB/WR Joe Webb (ankle), RB LeSean McCoy (ankle), WR Kelvin Benjamin (knee) and WR Deonte Thompson (shoulder) will be limited. CB Shareece Wright (concussion) has been ruled out for Sunday's game (ESPN)

FFToday's Take: McCoy will likely be listed as questionable and be a gametime decision. If he ends up being ruled out, Mike Tolbert and Marcus Murphy will carry the running back load.

Injury LeSean McCoy stretches, no individual drills
Sprained ankle
By: Mike Krueger | Thu Jan 4, 12:50 pm

Buffalo Bills
LeSean McCoy left practice with a trainer Thursday after stretching in a move that appeared to be planned. He did not take part in individual drills, but did more than Wednesday, when he was not in stretching. (ESPN)

FFToday's Take: McCoy missed practice as Wednesday as well. He's shaping up to be a gametime decision. Even if he does play he's going to be hard to trust given he was carted off with an ankle injury last week. Mike Tolbert and Marcus Murphy would handle the rushing load if McCoy sits.

Injury Bills giving McCoy another day off Wednesday
Day-to-day with ankle injury
By: Jake Gordon | Wed Jan 3, 10:09 am

Buffalo Bills
The status of LeSean McCoy remains up in the air heading into Sunday's tilt versus the Jacksonville Jaguars. Buffalo Bills coach Sean McDermott said Wednesday that the running back is "day-to-day" with a sprained ankle suffered in Sunday's victory. McCoy will not practice Wednesday. McCoy, the centerpiece of the Bills' offense, will receive treatment throughout the week, but will not be fully healthy even if he's able to get on the field Sunday. (NFL.com)

FFToday's Take: This lines up with what was said yesterday. LeSean McCoy is expected to be a game-time decision this weekend and will not be at full health even if he does play. This will certainly limit his effectiveness. Mike Tolbert and Marcus Murphy will be in the mix for carries as well making the Bills backfield one to avoid for fantasy purposes.

Injury LeSean McCoy has a "chance" to play in WC game
Suffered ankle injury in Week 17 and did not return
By: Doug Orth | Mon Jan 1, 7:15 pm

Buffalo Bills
Bills coach Sean McDermott said Monday that RB LeSean McCoy has a "chance" to play Sunday in the playoffs against the Jaguars. McDermott said he received "good news" that McCoy's X-rays were negative but would not confirm McCoy sprained his ankle. (ESPN - Mike Rodak)

FFToday's Take: Based on the fact he was carted off, he seems doubtful to play against the Jaguars. Marcus Murphy and Mike Tolbert shared carries after McCoy's departure, but neither player brings to the table what McCoy does. With McCoy unlikely to play, the Jacksonville D/ST will be the top play among fantasy defenses in playoff leagues and DFS formats this weekend.

Injury LeSean McCoy misses practice Friday
Expected to play
By: Mike Krueger | Fri Dec 1, 11:30 am

Buffalo Bills
LeSean McCoy has knee soreness and will not practice today. Doesn't look like he'll miss the game. Kelvin Benjamin OUT Sunday. (Sal Capaccio on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: McCoy practiced in full Thursday then popped up on the injury report with a knee issue. It sounds like the Bills will give their veteran RB some rest today and he's expected to start on Sunday. Mike Tolbert has been ruled out, meaning Travaris Cadet will again be McCoy's backup.

Injury No practice for Benjamin Friday, Tolbert out
Travaris Cadet will backup McCoy
By: Mike Krueger | Fri Nov 24, 10:30 am

Buffalo Bills
The Buffalo Bills could be without their top wide receiver when they head to Kansas City to play the Chiefs.   Kelvin Benjamin is not expected to practice on Friday. He did not practice on Wednesday or Thursday, either. Running back Mike Tolbert (hamstring) will be out for the Bills this week. (New York Upstate)

FFToday's Take: With both Benjamin and Tolbert likely to miss, Zay Jones and Travaris Cadet will see an increase in snaps. Cadet will be the primary backup to LeSean McCoy while Jones, Jordan Matthews and Deonte Thompson will be the top three wideouts against the Chiefs.
