2014 Outlook
Depth Chart
The troubled career of Kenny Britt continues in St. Louis as the former Titan looks to rekindle what was once a promising career. Britt, who had one of the brightest futures at the wide receiver position, is now fighting for a roster spot amongst a group of mediocre pass-catchers who have never really produced much on the field. Although former Titans head coach Jeff Fisher has apparently renewed his vows on the Britt marriage, that doesn’t mean that fantasy owners should trust him. Britt’s past success may give him a leg up for an opportunity to get playing time early, but an ugly off-field history and a tremendous lack of concentration on the field makes him only worth a flier at the end of your draft.

Comment: Britt is teasing fantasy owners once again. He's worth a late-round flier.

Britt making strong impression with Rams
Quick, Bailey also standing out
By: Doug Orth | Mon Aug 4, 4:05 pm

St. Louis Rams
There is no shortage of receivers making plays all over the field at camp, including several with great size. Kenny Britt has people around the team pinching themselves with what he is doing on the field and off, and there is a very strong buzz around third-year receiver Brian Quick and second-year receiver Stedman Bailey. If a few of them can keep it up, this offense has the potential to make significant strides. "A few of them really look like they are for real," said one member of the organization. "If they are, then that's a major game-changer." (CBS Sports)

FFToday's Take: Once again, Britt is worth gambling on in fantasy, although his 14th-round ADP is much more palatable than it has been in recent years. Quick has been long on potential since getting drafted in 2012 and his size-speed combination makes him intriguing if he can lock down a starting spot. Bailey will miss the first four games of the season due to suspension, but could enjoy some fantasy value late in the second half if Britt or Quick fails to impress or get injured.

Tavon Austin has system "down cold"
Pettis, Britt also stood out among WRs for Rams during OTAs
By: Doug Orth | Mon Jun 23, 3:45 pm

St. Louis Rams
Austin Pettis may have been the most consistent performer (in Rams camp), doing some of his best work in the red zone. It’s clear that QB Sam Bradford has a lot of confidence in him in that part of the field. Kenny Britt flashed big-play potential, spiced with emotion and energy. As for Tavon Austin, OC Brian Schottenheimer hinted his role might be expanded. “Moving him around to a lot of different spots. You’ll see us hand him the ball, do some different things. He’s playing so much faster just because he knows what we’re doing. He has the system down cold,” Schottenheimer said. (St. Louis Post-Dispatch)

FFToday's Take: Pettis was easily Bradford's most trusted target before the quarterback's ACL injury, so his consistency this offseason should not come as a surprise. Britt adds a big-play element to the offense Bradford has not enjoyed in his time with the Rams, so he has significant fantasy upside. Austin, who led the receivers with 40 catches last year, did not adjust well initially but Schottenheimer did him no favors either. Look for Austin to be significantly more involved in 2014.

Britt getting necessary fresh start in St. Louis
Ex-Titan WR "all smiles" at OTAs
By: Doug Orth | Mon Jun 9, 2:55 pm

St. Louis Rams
If anyone ever needed a fresh start, it’s new Rams WR Kenny Britt. His five star-crossed seasons in Tennessee were a mix of off-field issues, injuries and flashes of big-play potential. But as the Rams begin the second week of OTAs, Britt is all smiles. Last Thursday, Britt caught two long touchdown passes while his chiseled frame (6-3, 223) has already earned him the nickname “Incredible Hulk” from some of his new teammates. “He’s a big, explosive wide receiver who can make plays down the field,” QB Sam Bradford said. “He’s looked really good in his time here. I just feel like he brings kind of a presence and an energy that maybe hasn’t been there in the past.” (St Louis Post-Dispatch)

FFToday's Take: Even though Britt burned a ton of bridges in Tennessee, the former Rutgers star has never lacked for talent and has a fairly good chance to emerge as the Rams' top receiver in 2014 if he simply plays up to his vast potential. One has to think that if any coach can maximize his talent, it would probably be Fisher, who was the Titans' coach when Britt was the team's first-round pick in 2009.
