Figuring out Moreno’s fantasy value is a tricky proposition in 2011. The waters are muddy and navigating them is no easy task. On the plus side, John Fox is now in town and he loves to run the ball, so that should mean more touches for Moreno. Unfortunately, Fox also loves to use a committee approach at running back, and the Broncos acquired Willis McGahee to fill the backup role. He’s far superior to the backups Moreno has had over the first two years of his career. The offense should be more productive with Kyle Orton under center than with Tim Tebow, but how long that will be the case is anybody’s guess, with Orton in a contract year and the fans clamoring for Tebow to start. Tebow vultured six touchdowns last season, and the team will possibility feature him in short-yardage situations, even if he opens the season as a backup. Finally, after two years in the league, it seems pretty clear that Moreno doesn’t have the talent level to support his having been taken with the 12th pick in the 2009 draft. He’s likely going to be drafted as an RB2, but he is best suited as a fantasy backup, so don’t reach for him on draft day.
Comment:Moreno and McGahee will be the components of John Fox's RBBC this season with Moreno likely to see a 3:2 ratio of carries.
Moreno tears ACL, lost for season-- Mon Nov 14 9:30 pm -- McGahee set to practice Tuesday
Willis McGahee has been cleared to practice tomorrow when the team holds its only full practice in preparation for Thursday’s game against the New York Jets. McGahee injured his left hamstring early in Sunday’s 17-10 win against Kansas City.
If McGahee’s hamstring holds up well in practice Tuesday, it is expected he would start against the Jets and be backed up by Lance Ball and newly-signed running back Jeremiah Johnson.

FF Today's Take:Set to be a free agent at the season, Moreno's Bronco career is likely over. As for McGahee, he'll be in race to beat the clock with an early game this week. If he puts together a full practice on Tuesday, treat him as a low-upside RB2 vs. the Jets. If he is limited in any way at that practice, it is very possible he will share carries with Ball or miss the game entirely.
McGahee, Moreno injured in Week 10-- Mon Nov 14 12:00 am -- Lance Ball has career-high 30 carries in win
Knowshon Moreno and Willis McGahee left the game against the Chiefs today with injuries in the first quarter and Moreno is unlikely to play when Denver hosts the New York Jets in Week 10.
Moreno suffered a sprained ligament in his right knee and will have an MRI exam Monday to determine if there's a tear, but the initial diagnosis was he will be sidelined for a while.
McGahee suffered a strained hamstring on his fourth carry of the Broncos' opening drive.
"I'll be all right," McGahee said. "I could have come back in in an emergency situation."(Denver Post)
FF Today's Take:With so little time before the Broncos' next game, owners should be extremely skeptical of McGahee's optimistic outlook. Don't be surprised if Lance Ball is the featured back against the Jets after he finished with 30 carries for 96 yards. New York's run defense has improved of late, so a committee attack - even with the way Denver is running the ball - would be a risky proposition for fantasy owners.
