Injury Domenik Hixon done for the year     -- Wed Jun 16 3:00 pm --

With a torn ACL requiring surgery
The knee injury that Domenik Hixon suffered at practice yesterday afternoon turned out to be far worse than anyone expected. The receiver/kick returner will miss the entire 2010 season after tearing the ACL in his right knee, according to the Giants. The team initially thought he had just hyper-extended his knee, but an MRI this afternoon revealed the rest of the damage. Hixon will undergo surgery sometime in the next 2-3 weeks, according to the team. (New York Daily News)

FF Today's Take: Hixon didn't emerge as the sleeper WR pick that many had hoped for last season, but he did still serve as a capable kick and punt returner for the Giants. The return duties should fall into the hands of either Sinorice Moss or Danny Ware.
