| Cardinals fear torn ACL for Carson Palmer -- Sun Nov 9 7:41 am --|
Drew Stanton expected to be starting QB
|Per multiple reports, the Cardinals fear that quarterback Carson Palmer has suffered a torn ACL in his left knee. It’s the same left knee in which Palmer tore an ACL on a low hit in the first throw of the wild-card game to cap the 2005 season. (ProFootballTalk)|
FF Today's Take: A tough break for Palmer who just signed a three-year contract extension earlier this week. Drew Stanton will take over as the starting quarterback in Arizona. He was below average in three starts earlier this season completing 49 percent of his throws for 176 yards and .67 TDs per game against the Giants, 49ers and Broncos.

All QBs were at practice Friday
|Friday came and went, and the Cardinals do not know who will start at quarterback Sunday against the Redskins.
“Honest to God, for the first time in 20 years, I really don’t know who’s starting,” coach Bruce Arians said. All the quarterbacks were at practice and throwing Friday. But Drew Stanton had yet to take/pass his concussion test and Carson Palmer was flying to Denver to have a late afternoon session at Muscle Activation Techniques, the place he got worked on last weekend. FF Today's Take: If either Palmer or Stanton are cleared to play, they will get the nod over Logan Thomas. For now, Andre Ellington is the only Cardinals player with stable fantasy value until a starting quarterback is named.

Stanton likely out w/ concussion, Palmer (shoulder) limited

FF Today's Take: The 6-6, 250-pound Logan Thomas is a bit of a freakish athlete, but an incredibly raw quarterback prospect the Cards wanted to develop - and not play - this year. Although he should be on every dynasty league roster, Thomas can be avoided in redraft formats until further notice. Michael Floyd, Larry Fitzgerald and John Brown all probably need to be benched in most fantasy leagues as well.
| Carson Palmer advised to rest shoulder -- Thu Oct 2 5:05 pm --|
|After visiting with orthopedic surgeon Dr. Robert Watkins for additional information regarding his shoulder, Cardinals QB Carson Palmer has been diagnosed with an "axillary nerve contusion" - a numbness over part of the outer shoulder, shoulder weakness, especially when lifting the arm up and away from the body.
HC Bruce Arians mentioned on Wednesday that Palmer could be doubtful for Thursday practice but it is possible he still could be the backup QB this weekend. A lot will depend on his condition Thursday through Sunday. (Fox Sports 910)|
FF Today's Take: Palmer suffered the injury 25 days ago. The article goes on to say this type of injury tends to get better on its own and that some people do not need treatment (depending on the cause of the disorder), but that it can take months to recover in certain cases. As of now, Drew Stanton should be considered the starter for most of October, if not into November.
| Carson Palmer Out, Drew Stanton will start at QB -- Sun Sep 14 10:03 am --|
|Source: Cardinals QB Carson Palmer will not play today. He tested his shoulder out and couldn’t go. It’s Drew Stanton. (Ian Rapoport via Twitter)|
FF Today's Take: Palmer was limited in practice this week due to a nerve issue in his shoulder. Pregame warmups didn't go so well so Stanton gets the call. This move is a downgrade to the fantasy values of Larry Fitzgerald and Michael Floyd.
