FF Today's Take:Wright has missed the last three games with a knee injury but will be back in action against a Raiders defense that's in the middle of the pack against wide receivers. Wright and TE Delanie Walker should receive the most targets from Mariota.
Kendall Wright to miss Thursday night game-- Wed Nov 18 12:29 pm --
FF Today's Take:Wright has missed the last two games with a knee injury and will miss Thursday night's game with Jacksonville. Harry Douglas and Dorial Green-Beckham are expected to be the leading wideouts with TE Delanie Walker soaking up targets as well.
Kendall Wright "obviously" out for Week 9-- Thu Nov 5 5:15 pm --
Tennessee Titans WR Kendall Wright has been ruled out of Sunday's game against the New Orleans Saints due to a sprained medial collateral ligament in his left knee.
Titans interim HC Mike Mularkey said, "He's walking the hallways better, he's living in the training room, but he's obviously out for the week."
Harry Douglas has practiced fully the last two days and is expected to play Sunday after missing two games with a rib cartilage injury.(Fox Sports)
FF Today's Take:Mularkey's comment suggest Wright will miss multiple weeks, which is par for the course with his injury. Mularkey was probably hoping to have his best receiver available in hopes he could pair him back up with rookie QB Marcus Mariota again, but that will not happen. Douglas will serve as the Titans' WR1, but expect TE Delanie Walker to dominate targets in what figures to be a very conservative game plan for Tennessee.
FF Today's Take:Mariota has been bothered by a knee injury and didn't practice this week. Zach Mettenberger's start doesn't necessarily mean the Titans offense will become a shell of itself. He's been adequate in his limited time as starter including 345 yds and 2 TDs against the Eagles last season, but the upside for receivers Kendall Wright and TE Delanie Walker takes a slight hit.
TE Delanie Walker's hand not broken-- Sun Sep 13 8:00 pm --
Timetable for return unclear
“Obviously a good day for us, we got good news on Delanie Walker, his hand is not broken, that's what we thought on the field, so we’ll get him back. I don't know how long that's going to be, we’ll know more as the week progresses."(Titans Online)
FF Today's Take:Walker wore a cast on his right hand after the game but no break means he likely won't be out for an extended period of time. Walker posted a 3-43-1 stat line on Sunday.
