2015 Outlook
Depth Chart
What a difference a year makes. After posting a career year in 2010 with 58 receptions for 700 yards and 10 touchdowns, Lewisí production plummeted as he suffered through playing with a rookie quarterback in an offense that failed to move the ball on a consistent basis. Despite having his targets reduced by just three (from 88 to 85), Lewis caught just 39 passes for 460 yards and failed to find the end zone. Itís worth noting that removing his 10-touchdown explosion in 2010, Lewis has caught seven touchdowns during his other five seasons in the league, which includes 77 games and 74 starts. He has topped 500 receiving yards twice. He has topped 50 receptions once. Enough beating around the bush Ė donít expect a bounce back season in 2012. Lewis is a lower tier TE2 with little upside.

Injury Julius Thomas likely to undergo finger surgery     -- Mon Aug 31 6:45 pm --

Jags hopeful he can return by Week 4
Jaguars TE Julius Thomas is considering having surgery on his finger, a procedure that would sideline the two-time Pro Bowler for at least four weeks. GM David Caldwell confirmed Monday that Thomas, the team's top free-agent acquisition this past offseason, will receive a second medical opinion Tuesday before deciding whether to undergo the surgery. A source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter that Thomas is expected to undergo the surgery. Thomas was injured in Jacksonville's preseason opener earlier this month, but the Jaguars expected him to be ready for their regular-season opener. (ESPN)

FF Today's Take: It took Thomas exactly one quarter of one game into his new contract to live up to his injury-prone tag. Florida Times-Union beat writer Ryan O'Halloran tweeted that a "realistic" return date would be Week 4 against the Colts. In the meantime, owners should expect a plethora of targets for Allen Robinson, a few more for Allen Hurns as well as a fair amount of snaps for Marcedes Lewis and Clay Harbor.
