|What seemed inevitable finally occurred this past offseason. Kyle Orton resigned himself to being a backup and signed a three-year contract with Dallas. While Orton isnít worth grabbing in any fantasy format, it is worth noting that he has put together some decent seasons. That makes him a solid pickup as your QB2 if Tony Romo gets hit with the injury bug – not a ridiculous proposition given the state of the Cowboys offensive line.

Bills' top WRs react to Orton as the new starter
|We're just one practice into the Kyle Orton era, but the Buffalo Bills' top receivers have already noticed a difference in Orton from former starter EJ Manuel.
"We just had a different approach to practice. [Orton] demands what he wants out of us," rookie Sammy Watkins said. "He reads it quicker, the ball is coming out faster. That's just some things that we have to adjust to."
Fellow receiver Robert Woods saw the same: "His directness in the huddle, telling us what to look for and be ready for when we're breaking the huddle when he calls the play." (ESPN)|
FF Today's Take: This isn't exactly a shocking revelation, but notable that both receivers were so quick to say something to the media about it. Orton isn't going to turn this offense into a passing-game juggernaut, so the numbers of Watkins and Woods aren't going to skyrocket. However, both players should see a noticeable rise in fantasy value with a more consistently accurate quarterback.

Replaces EJ Manuel
|Bills HC Doug Marrone announces that Kyle Orton will replace EJ Manuel at QB. (Buffalo Bills on Twitter)|
FF Today's Take: This was a predictable outcome since August, when the Bills lured Orton out of retirement with a two-year, $11 million deal. The ex-Bear, Bronco and Cowboy isn't likely to change the face of the Bills' run-heavy offense, but it does seem like a pretty good bet he'll be a boon for the fantasy fortunes of Sammy Watkins, Robert Woods and Mike Williams. Any improvement in the passing game figures to also help out C.J. Spiller and Fred Jackson as well.
