The Vikings have waived running back Ben Tate after an unproductive month with the team.
The Vikings claimed Tate last month after he had been waived by the Browns. He was active for all five games with the Vikings, but only played in three of them. He rushed for 38 yards on 13 carries.(Minneapolis Star Tribune)
FF Today's Take:Tate didn't see the field in Week 16 as Joe Banyard backed up starter Matt Asiata. Tate's fantasy value for this season is likely over unless he lands with a playoff team. Both the Colts and Cardinals showed some lukewarm interest in him earlier this season but in all likelihood his 2014 season is over.
Jerick McKinnon sits with back injury-- Fri Nov 28 1:10 pm --
Status for Sunday doesn't look good
Vikings rookie running back Jerick McKinnon was the only player absent at Fridayís practice.
McKinnon hasnít participated all week dealing with a lingering low back injury. His status at this point for Sundayís game against the Panthers doesnít look too good.(Minneapolis Star Tribune)
FF Today's Take:Having missed practice all week, McKinnon is a candidate for the inactive list. Matt Asiata is expected to return this week and and should split carries with Joe Banyard and newly acquired Ben Tate. The Vikings running back situation is one to avoid in Week 13.
