| Nick Foles takes first team reps for Rams -- Wed Dec 2 7:37 pm --|
Case Keenum remains in concussion protocol
|ST. LOUIS (AP) — Case Keenum remains in the concussion protocol for the St. Louis Rams, with Nick Foles getting the majority of snaps at quarterback. (USA Today)|
FF Today's Take: It's still early enough in the week for Case Keenum's status to be upgraded however, teams have been more cautious with rushing players back from concussions this year. Nick Foles would get another start if Keenum isn't cleared by Sunday. Regardless of who is under center, the divisional matchup against Arizona prevents either quarterback from being a worthy fantasy option for Week 13.
| Nick Foles likely to start for Rams -- Fri Nov 27 5:05 pm --|
Case Keenum still hasn't cleared concussion protocol
|It looks like Nick Foles will be back in the starting lineup against the Bengals on Sunday. Rams coach Jeff Fisher said, via Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com, that Case Keenum still has not cleared the concussion protocol after being injured in last Sunday’s loss to the Ravens. As a result, the team is planning to start Foles in Week 12 although Fisher said that they’ll see how Keenum feels on Saturday before making a final decision. (NBC Sports)|
FF Today's Take: Foles and Keenum are interchangeable for fantasy purposes, in that both offer little to no value. Steer clear
|Rams bench Nick Foles, turn to Case Keenum -- Mon Nov 16 7:00 pm --|
Foles has thrown for one touchdown over last four games
|Three months after giving Nick Foles a three-year contract, the St. Louis Rams have decided to bench him. Rams coach Jeff Fisher announced that Case Keenum will start at quarterback for the Rams at Baltimore this week.
Foles was 0-for-12 on passes thrown over 10 yards Sunday, which was the most attempts on such passes without a completion in the last 10 seasons, according to the Rams' website. Fisher wasn't making any promises about how long Keenum would start, but he clearly has the chance to keep the job. (NFL.com)|
FF Today's Take: At this point, there are still two bright spots for the Rams regarding their acquisition of Foles: 1) they were able to get Philadelphia's second-round pick in 2016 and 2) there is no more guaranteed money to pay Foles after this year despite the three-year extension, so they can move on easily if they choose to do so. Keenum doesn't figure to be much of an upgrade, if at all, but is a better runner.
