2015 Outlook
Depth Chart
With the first pick in the 2nd round of the draft, the Rams swung for the fences with the selection of Quick, a physical specimen from tiny Appalachian State. The 6’4”, 220-pound Quick possesses solid, if not outstanding speed, a massive wingspan and was highly productive during his last season in college with 71 receptions for nearly 1,100 yards and 11 touchdowns. Whether or not his combine measurables and college production translates into success in St. Louis is the issue. Given the low level of competition he faced, Quick figures to get out of the gates slowly in 2012 even if he begins the season in the starting lineup… a reasonable probability given the state of the team’s depth chart at wide receiver. Quick isn’t worth drafting in re-draft leagues but is a decent prospect in dynasty leagues, especially those that use PPR scoring.

Gurley cleared to practice     -- Mon Aug 24 6:35 pm --

Brian Quick may see first preseason action on Saturday
Jeff Fisher announces that RB Todd Gurley (knee; ACL) has been cleared to practice. He'll wear yellow hat signifying no contact. ... He still won't play in preseason but this is next step in his recovery. No target date on when he'll play in a game. ... Also, WR Brian Quick (shoulder) will lose the yellow "no contact" beanie on his helmet this week, which means he could play this week. ... Fisher joked that there will be a passing of the beanie ceremony with Quick handing it off to Gurley. (Nick Wagoner on Twitter)

FF Today's Take: Wagoner fired off a series of tweets passing along the good news. Quick's return is important for a passing game that desperately needs a receiver to step up; the fourth-year receiver was on a 64-973-8 pace prior to suffering a serious injury last season. There is still no firm timetable for Gurley's first game action, although the team is reportedly quite pleased with his recovery to this point.
