Jeremy Maclin limited in practice-- Wed Jan 6 5:16 pm --
OLB Justin Houston to return versus Texans
Chiefs receiver Jeremy Maclin returned to practice Wednesday after suffering a hip bruise in the Chiefs’ 23-17 win over the Oakland Raiders on Sunday.
Maclin, who was limited, said after the game that “there’s no way” he’d miss the Chiefs’ playoff opener. Outside linebacker Justin Houston and right tackle Jah Reid — two starters who missed the Raiders game Sunday with knee injuries — both practiced for the second straight day. Reid was limited, while Houston was a full participant.(Kansas City Star)
FF Today's Take:Jeremy Maclin's status is noteworthy because the team's offense is short on playmakers following injuries to the backfield this season. He has found the end zone six times in the past six games and has been instrumental to the team's current 10-game win streak. On the defensive side of the ball, OLB Justin Houston returns after missing the past five games with a knee injury. He has been a force on defense compiling 7.5 sacks, 2 interceptions and 1 forced fumble in ten regular season games.
