Bucs RB Doug Martin returns to practice-- Wed Nov 9 5:30 pm --
Doug Martin returned to practice for the first time since injuring his hamstring in Week 2.
Bucs coach Dirk Koetter told reporters that Martin was limited in Wednesday's practice session, but he wouldn't speculate on whether Martin would be available to play against the Chicago Bears this week.
FF Today's Take:Tampa Bay desperately needs a healthy running back after the team lost Antone Smith to injury last week. Unless Doug Martin is able to fully participate on Friday the Bucs will turn to Peyton Barber and Mike James to handle the rushing duties versus the Bears in Week 10. Even if Martin is cleared, he may be on a snap count so keep a close eye on his progress as the weekend approaches.
Jacquizz Rodgers ruled out by Bucs-- Wed Nov 2 2:49 pm --
Foot injury leaves Bucs with RBBC
The Buccaneers won’t have Jacquizz Rodgers in the lineup against the Falcons on Thursday night.
Rodgers injured his foot in last Sunday’s loss to the Raiders and there was enough concern about his condition that the Bucs moved quickly to bring Mike James back into the organization. Rodgers was ruled out with the release of the Buccaneers’ official injury report for the NFC South matchup.

FF Today's Take:After losing their top three running backs, Tampa Bay heads into Thursday night hoping that Peyton Barber, Antone Smith and Mike James can form a productive RBBC. Both Barber and Smith received touches last week and would likely split the bulk of the workload Week 9.
Ankle injury may cost Jacquizz some time-- Mon Oct 31 11:00 am --
Antone Smith waiver wire priority
The Bucs, already with their top two running backs sidelined, might have lost starter Jacquizz Rodgers to a foot injury late in Sunday's 30-24 overtime loss to the Raiders.
"I don't think it's probably good," coach Dirk Koetter said after the game. "But I don't know for sure. It's something to do with his ankle."(Tampa Bay Times)
FF Today's Take:Peyton Barber and veteran Antone Smith are next up on the roster, with Smith handling most of work when Rodgers went down yesterday. Smith should be the favored waiver wire priority until we get a better handle on the Bucs RB rotation.
