FF Today's Take:It is a huge blow for a team with Super Bowl aspirations. It is telling Seattle was burned for a deep score on the only touchdown Carolina scored in Week 13 on the play immediately following Thomas' injury. Fourth-year UDFA Steven Terrell will do his best to replace the enormous void Thomas leaves behind. While Seattle should still be remain among the NFL's best defenses, its pass defense may be more susceptible through the air than usual.
Safety Earl Thomas not expected to play-- Wed Nov 23 6:46 pm --
Coach Pete Carroll said before Wednesday’s practice that Earl Thomas and cornerback DeShawn Shead are each unlikely to play Sunday at Tampa Bay due to hamstring injuries either suffered or aggravated in Sunday’s win over the Eagles.(Seattle Times)
FF Today's Take:Earl Thomas is typically one of the easier defensive back choices for IDP league owners but they will need to find a replacement for Week 12. Thomas has 22 tackles on the season and has already tied his career mark for pass defenses in a single season with nine.
DNP for Jimmy Graham on Thursday-- Wed Sep 28 7:45 pm --
FF Today's Take:It's never a good sign for a player to show up as a surprise DNP for a Thursday practice leading into a Sunday game, but this is probably going to be par for the course for him as he tries to be one of the first athletes ever to come all the way back from a torn patellar tendon. Luke Willson would be the next man up if Graham can't go in Week 4, but he is a low-end TE2 option at best.
