FF Today's Take:We wish him the best. Chiefs ESPN Nation reporter Adam Teicher tweeted earlier in the day that a MRI "showed a mass in his chest" and that while there has been no definite diagnosis, Kansas City thinks he has lymphoma. From a football perspective, the Chiefs may have to reinsert Marcus Cooper as a starting corner after moving Ron Parker from safety a few weeks ago.
Charles diagnosed with high ankle sprain-- Mon Sep 15 3:45 pm --
No timetable for return
Chiefs RB Jamaal Charles suffered a high ankle sprain, and S Eric Berry sprained an ankle in Sunday’s loss at Denver, HC Andy Reid said Monday.
Reid provided no timetable for their returns. A high ankle sprain can often result in a multi-week injury, but Reid says Charles’ injury “doesn’t look to be a real severe one.”
“It does have the component of a high ankle sprain. What does that mean? We’ll see,” Reid said.(Kansas City Star)
FF Today's Take:Fantasy owners know this drill pretty well by now. High-ankle sprains are often multi-week injuries and Charles would be doing himself and his team a disservice by trying to rush back. Knile Davis will step and replace him as the featured back in his absence. The second-year back should be considered a low-end RB1 in all leagues while Charles is out.
