Depth Chart
Entering his 4th year in the league, Stephens-Howling has displayed plenty of big play ability in limited touches with the Cardinals and was given his most extensive playing time in 2011. By extensive, we mean 43 rushes and 13 receptions. He took two of those receptions to the house, scoring on 73- and 52-yard pass plays but those plays didn’t convince the team’s coaching staff to use him more, even with Ryan Williams on the shelf for the entire year due to injury. Since the coaching staff doesn’t seem to give the diminutive Stephens-Howling any love, you shouldn’t either.

LaRod Stephens-Howling likely to depart in free agency
Starting running back Beanie Wells was released on Monday, and backup LaRod Stephens-Howling is likely to land elsewhere in free agency. Wells was due a roster bonus of $1.3 this spring and scheduled to make $1.157 million in salary. (Arizona REpublic)

FF Today's Take: Wells never gained much traction in Arizona. He suffered numerous injuries and played in only eight games last season. Look for Arizona to put the full court press on Reggie Bush once free agency opens tomorrow. Wells' value is limited due to his stone-hands but will find a job, likely in a committee role.
