Steve Smith to retire after 2015 season
Five-time Pro Bowler is 18th on all-time receptions list
By: Doug Orth | Aug 10 2015, 5:10 pm

Ravens WR Steve Smith announces that this, his 15th season, will be his last. He's retiring at seasons end. (Jeff Zrebiec on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: Perhaps the toughest and feistiest pound-for-pound receiver in the NFL, the 5-9, 195-pound Smith turned in his eighth 1,000-yard receiving season in 2014 in his first year with the Ravens. Smith's announcement puts pressure on rookie Breshad Perriman to assume the No. 1 receiver at some point this year - a task the first-round pick is talented enough to handle. Smith should be considered a relatively safe WR3 for fantasy purposes in his final go-round.
