Doug Martin to be lead back for Bucs
Starting RB job is Martin's to lose
By: Doug Orth | Aug 3 2015, 5:45 pm

If the Bucs are going to run the ball, Doug Martin must lead the way. "Definitely a key for us," Bucs coach Lovie Smith said. "We talked about being able to establish the run. Doug will be the lead guy doing that, so it's very important that we open up some holes and let him do his thing." (Tampa Times)

FFToday's Take: Earlier this off-season many speculated that Charles Sims would be the main ball carrier in the Bucs offense. It appears that head coach Lovie Smith and offensive coordinator Dirk Koetter will give Martin first opportunity at the job. Martin's best season came in 2012 when he finished 3rd among fantasy running backs and posted a 319-1454-11 line. He hasn't cracked 500 yards rushing in a season since. He'll have RB2 upside in standard re-draft leagues, currently being drafted as a RB3 (RB32 overall).
