| Rawls pushing Michael out of Seattle? UDFA could make push for backup spot behind Marshawn Lynch By: Doug Orth | Jul 6 2015, 4:15 pm
| Robert Turbin is a quality backup with excellent blocking and receiving skills, but it’s uncertain if he’ll be ready to go for the start of the regular season after undergoing offseason hip surgery. It’s "step up or step out" time for Christine Michael. The Seattle coaches are high on Thomas Rawls, a free agent rookie from Central Michigan who started his college career at the University of Michigan. Pete Carroll loves Rawls’ toughness, seeing him as a bruising runner similar to Marshawn Lynch. That’s not good news for Michael. Maybe the Seahawks could trade him for a late-round pick if they decide Rawls is the better option. (ESPN)
FFToday's Take: Lynch skipped voluntary workouts, Turbin did not participate at all in the spring and Michael nursed a hamstring for much of the offseason, giving Rawls plenty of opportunity to catch the coaches' eye. Regardless of what he's done (or hasn't done) to this point of his career, Michael will almost certainly get a chance to latch on somewhere else if he is traded or released. Dynasty owners should hold, even if this situation gets worse before it gets better.
