Coughlin unsure if Cruz will be ready for Week 1
Patellar tendon injury
By: Mike Krueger | Mar 25 2015, 1:14 pm

Coughlin did not have anything new to say about Victor Cruz's recovery from a torn patellar tendon. He agreed with Cruz's personal goal that he'd be good to go by training camp, but said the team is "not gonna throw him to the wind, he'll work his way through." Coughlin added that he couldn't say with any confidence that Cruz would be ready for the first regular season game. (NJ.com)

FFToday's Take: Cruz's injury is more significant than an ACL and typically requires a longer recovery time. Whenever he does hit the field in 2015, he will likely be less than 100 percent. GM Jerry Reese has already stated that he doesn't expect Cruz to make the same impact he made before the injury. Cruz tore his patellar tendon last October.
