Jordy Nelson had clean up procedure on hip
McCarthy: "Nothing serious"
By: Mike Krueger | Mar 25 2015, 11:54 am

Asked about WR Jordy Nelson being seen at a recent Milwaukee Bucks game on crutches, Packers coach Mike McCarthy acknowledged that the veteran had surgery at the end of the season. Nelson was having some problems with his hip at the Pro Bowl and a decision was made to clean up the area. McCarthy said it wasn't serious. "He had some post-season work done," McCarthy said during the NFC coaches' media breakfast Wednesday. "He'll be fine in a couple of weeks. "I've seen him. I'm trying to think if it's six-to-eight weeks, but really he should answer that. But it's nothing serious." (Milwaukee Journal Sentinel)

FFToday's Take: The 6-8 week timetable means Nelson should be in no danger of missing the team's OTAs or training camp. If he's limited, then we'll revisit the "it's nothing serious" comment from McCarthy. Nelson is coming off his best season a pro (98-1519-13) and will be on the WR1 radar in fantasy drafts this summer.
