Eagles agree to trade McCoy to Bills Bills send linebacker Kiko Alonso to the Eagles By: Mike Krueger | Mar 3 2015, 7:00 pm
The Philadelphia Eagles have a trade in place to send running back LeSean McCoy to the Buffalo Bills, a source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter. In return, the Bills will send linebacker Kiko Alonso to the Eagles, the source said. The trade cannot be made official until the new league year begins next Tuesday at 4 p.m. ET. (ESPN)
FFToday's Take:Wow. Leave it to Chip Kelly to send the league and its fans into a frenzy. It's worth noting again, that trades can't be finalized until March 10th but it appears a deal is in place. The Bills will receive one of the league's most dynamic runners who does have some mileage on the tires but is still just 26 years old and should be the focal point of the offense for Rex Ryan. The Eagles now have a big need at running back but there will be a number of options in free agency and some intriguing prospects available in the upcoming draft.
