Falcons release Harry Douglas Falcons $3.5 million of cap space By: Mike Krueger | Feb 27 2015, 10:14 am
The Falcons are no longer wild about Harry Douglas.
PFT has learned, via a league source, that the team has released the veteran wide receiver. Douglas was set to make $3.5 million in the final year of the four-year contract he signed with the Falcons in 2012. None of that money was guaranteed, so the Falcons will be able to put it toward other uses this offseason. (ProFootballTalk)
FFToday's Take:Douglas has filled the No.3 wide receiver role in Atlanta for several years and had his best season in 2013 (85-1067-2) while filling in for an injured Julio Jones and Roddy White. Since he was released, Douglas is free to sign with a team before the start of free agency on March 10th.
