| Lions release Reggie Bush Create $1.7 million in cap room By: Mike Krueger | Feb 25 2015, 6:22 pm
| The Lions released Reggie Bush today in a cost-cutting move that will free up cap room to help the team with its chief off-season pursuit, re-signing All-Pro defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh. By cutting Bush, who was due a $3.25 million base salary this year and had a $250,000 workout bonus in his contract, they created another $1.7 million in cap room. (Detroit Free Press)
FFToday's Take: Bush was signed by the Lions in 2013 and led the team in rushing with 1006 yards and added 506 yards receiving. He disappointed last season, battling ankle injuries the final ten weeks and never was a real fantasy factor. Joique Bell and Theo Riddick are now atop the RB depth chart in Detroit.
