Rodgers has "slight tear" in calf muscle
Packers QB expects to play Sunday in divisional round
By: Doug Orth | Jan 8 2015, 5:20 pm

Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers' calf muscle has a slight tear in it in addition to being significantly strained, according to league sources. The injury is not expected to prevent Rodgers from playing in Sunday's divisional round playoff game against the Dallas Cowboys, but it could affect how mobile and effective he is. "There's no question he will play, but there's also no question he will not be 100 percent," said one doctor familiar with the injury. "The question is whether he'll be 95 percent or 50 percent." FFToday's Take: This should not come as much of a surprise to anyone that has been tracking this story for the last couple of weeks. Rodgers was limited to team drills on Thursday and Green Bay will not practice again until Saturday, making him a very questionable play in playoff leagues or daily-fantasy formats. Rodgers is more than capable of beating a lot of teams solely as a pocket quarterback, but his injury is one that could give out on him at any time, just like it did in Week 17. Matt Flynn is the next man up.
