Patriots add Blount to running back mix Two-year deal By: Mike Krueger | Nov 20 2014, 10:47 am
Free-agent running back LeGarrette Blount, who was released by the Pittsburgh Steelers on Tuesday, agreed Thursday to a two-year deal with the New England Patriots for the veteran minimum plus incentives, according to a source. (ESPN)
FFToday's Take:Blount was with New England last season as their power back, averaging 5.0 yards per carry and scoring 7 TDs. Blount's signing impacts Jonas Gray more than Vereen. Gray will still be the lead big-back in the offense for the time being with Blount in the mix as an insurance policy.
