New York Giants

Rashad Jennings ruled out Week 9
Will miss third straight week with knee sprain
By: Doug Orth | Oct 30 2014, 3:15 pm

The New York Giants hoped starting RB Rashad Jennings would be able to return from his knee injury and play Monday night against the Colts. He will not. Giants HC Tom Coughlin said Thursday that there was no chance Jennings would be able to play Monday, leaving the running game once again in the hands of rookie Andre Williams and fading veteran Peyton Hillis. Jennings will miss his third game in a row since spraining his knee in the Week 5 victory against the Falcons. (ESPN)

FFToday's Take: Williams will get another start against a Colts' middling defense (versus opposing fantasy running backs) that will be looking to rebound from giving up 51 points to the Steelers last weekend. The rookie contributes next to nothing in the passing game and hasn't been overly impressive as a runner thus far, meaning Indianapolis may be a sneaky defensive play against a Giants' offense without Victor Cruz.
