Vernon Davis unsure if he'll play Monday night
No setbacks in practice
By: Mike Krueger | Oct 11 2014, 10:00 pm

Tight end Vernon Davis made it through practice Saturday, the third straight day he did so without any setback from a back injury he suffered two games ago. “I don’t feel like I’m where I need to be at the moment,” Davis said Saturday, ”but I’m getting there.” He said he will huddle with the head athletic trainer on Sunday and decide whether he is healthy enough to play against the St. Louis Rams on Monday night. FFToday's Take: Vance McDonald and Derek Carrier would fill-in if Davis doesn't play. The fact that Davis didn't have any setbacks this week is a good sign, but he is no sure thing to suit up Monday night and we may not know his status before the early games kick off today.
