Austin Davis announced as Rams' starting QB
Shaun Hill "frustrated" in backup role
By: Jake Gordon | Oct 1 2014, 4:58 pm

Third-year undrafted quarterback Austin Davis has been one of the most pleasant surprises of this young NFL season. The St. Louis Rams want to see if he has staying power. Davis will start Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles, and it's now his job to lose. Coach Jeff Fisher announced the news Wednesday, and said that he spoke with both Davis and the team's Week 1 starter Shaun Hill about the decision. (NFL.com)

FFToday's Take: Completing over seventy percent of his passes in three games this season has spearheaded Davis' success. Davis will need to prove his worth in the coming weeks before fantasy owners can begin to trust him as more than a fantasy backup.
