Starks to assume lead back duties in Week 2?
Lacy in concussion protocol, needs clearance from neurologist
By: Antonio D'Arcangelis | Sep 9 2014, 9:33 am

On Friday, coach Mike McCarthy said Eddie Lacy was doing better than expected and was already going through the early steps of the protocol. Still, this is Lacy's second concussion in two years and until he's cleared for contact, the Packers won't know for sure whether they'll have him for the New York Jets on Sunday. If they don't, James Starks would probably be the starter. (Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel)

FFToday's Take: With Eddie Lacy going through the NFL's concussion protocol (he will have to be cleared by an independent neurologist before being allowed to play again), Starks is in line to be the Packers lead back in Week 2. He ran well on Sunday in Lacy's stead.
