Benny Cunningham creating buzz in St. Louis
Second-year RB pushing Zac Stacy for playing time?
By: Doug Orth | Aug 28 2014, 5:25 pm

If Benny Cunningham isn’t challenging Zac Stacy for the starting job, he’s certainly pushing him for playing time. He’s been the best Rams RB on the field this preseason. And what to do with Tre Watts? A strong showing against the Dolphins could push him into a roster spot. If so, that would be five RBs on the squad again, which is a lot assuming Chase Reynolds makes the squad. (St. Louis Post-Dispatch)

FFToday's Take: Incumbent starter Zac Stacy has averaged 2.6 YPC on 15 attempts this preseason while Cunningham is sporting a solid 5.3 YPC on the same number of totes - averages that don't vary much from last season (Stacy - 3.9; Cunningham - 5.6). The preseason production itself is not a concern for Stacy owners; the fact that Cunningham is a more explosive player is. As a result, Cunningham is worth a late-round pick in fantasy drafts.
