Buffalo Bills

Watkins no longer limited at practice
Missed Bills' last preseason contest with rib injury
By: Doug Orth | Aug 25 2014, 4:25 pm

Buffalo HC Doug Marrone said that Sammy Watkins (ribs) practiced Monday without any limitations. Presumably, this means Watkins will be healthy and ready to play in Week 1. Watkins practiced last week, but he was limited and he didn't play vs. the Buccaneers in preseason game No. 3. (CBS Sports)

FFToday's Take: The injury and the Bills' reluctance to throw the ball downfield this preseason has effectively quieted the offseason buzz on Watkins. Still, the No. 4 overall pick is one of the more complete receivers to enter the league in recent years and should be able to perform at a low-end WR3 level in 2014 - even if QB E.J. Manuel fails to show much improvement - thanks to his unique run-after-catch skills.
