Drew Brees expected to play versus Colts Should play about a half By: Mike Krueger | Aug 21 2014, 11:50 am
The New Orleans Saints quarterback has looked sharp in practice this week -- especially on Wednesday night. Drew Brees threw a handful of nice touchdown passes during full-team red zone drills, including a hard strike right in receiver Robert Meachem's breadbasket. After practice, Saints coach Sean Payton confirmed the obvious -- that Brees is indeed "ready to go" for Saturday night's preseason game against the Indianapolis Colts. (ESPN)
FFToday's Take:Brees has been dealing with an oblique issue, missing the last couple weeks of practice. He's expected to play in the first half Saturday night. Brees is one of the top three fantasy quarterbacks along side Peyton Manning and Aaron Rodgers.
