Newton, Stewart back practicing for Panthers
Both expected to play in next preseason game
By: Mike Krueger | Aug 10 2014, 10:10 pm

Despite the wet conditions Sunday afternoon, Panthers quarterback Cam Newton and running back Jonathan Stewart were on the field with the first-team offense together. Rivera said Newton’s workload will increase now after he did little during Wednesday and Thursday’s practices. He sat out Friday’s exhibition, but Rivera said he expects Newton, Stewart and running back DeAngelo Williams to play next Sunday against the Chiefs. (Charlotte Observer)

FFToday's Take: Newton's been very limited after ankle surgery in March but he should be full go moving forward. Jonathan Stewart has missed the last couple weeks with a hamstring injury. His injury history is long and even if he makes it through the rest of the preseason healthy, he can't be valued as anything more than a late-round flier for your fantasy team.
