| Maclin has looked "fantastic" in camp Making his way back from 2013 ACL tear By: Doug Orth | Jul 28 2014, 5:10 pm
| Since his return to practice back in April, WR Jeremy Maclin has professed that he is a "stronger" version of his former self. QB Nick Foles has seconded that, and Eagles HC Chip Kelly has used "fantastic" to describe how Maclin has looked. Maclin said he bases it partly on "gains made in the weight room" but mostly on what he's able to do on the field. "Being able to dig and go track balls down. Being able to plant and come back to balls. Those are the plays I made before I got hurt and those are the plays I'm making now," Maclin said. (Philly.com)
FFToday's Take: Most owners already have typecast Maclin as an injury-prone receiver, but it is clear the Eagles are counting on him to replace DeSean Jackson - in terms of his position and most of his production. The fifth-year veteran has always been a more complete receiver than Jackson, but also more injury-prone. With more weapons around him than Jackson had last season, expect Maclin to be a top-end fantasy WR3 this year.
