|If youíre looking for a player for whom the Broncos have cleared the way to shine most, itís Montee Ball, who was the most effective runner in Denver with the ball in his hands over the last six weeks of the season/postseason. Heís smart and has the requisite work ethic, and the Broncos have seen vast improvements in his work as both a receiver and blocker in the passing game. That gives him the gotta-have-it, every-down potential in their offense. The Broncos arenít looking to run the ball significantly more than they did in 2013, but when they do, they want to move the chains more efficiently. (ESPN)|
FFToday's Take: Ball's current ADP of 1.12 seems like a steep price to pay for an "unproven" lead or feature back, but it is not an unfair one for a player that is a better all-around performer than Knowshon Moreno, who was a top-five back in most formats in 2013. The Broncos are probably hoping Ball is able to effectively handle 75 percent of the snaps, only sprinkling in C.J. Anderson and Ronnie Hillman in blowouts or when Ball needs a breather.
