| Lance Dunbar's role in the Cowboys offense Would likely split time if Murray goes down with an injury By: Mike Krueger | Jul 13 2014, 11:00 am
| He'll have the third-down back role. He has the ability to be a change of pace runner for DeMarco Murray. But does this mean he will see a huge role? Not necessarily because I think Murray will still be on the field for the bulk of the game. And if something happens to Murray, I think they would keep Lance Dunbar in the third down role, expand it a little, but use Joseph Randle or Ryan Williams, whoever wins the third back job, as the every-down back. (ESPN)
FFToday's Take: The opinions of ESPN's Todd Archer who covers the cowboys are worth noting. Dunbar appears to be healed from his knee injury that occurred last November but it appears Murray will be getting the bulk of attention in this offense as long as he remains healthy. Dunbar will likely have more value in PPR leagues.
