Romo "miles ahead" of last year in recovery Pleased with conditiioning after second back surgery By: Doug Orth | Jul 7 2014, 4:45 pm
This is the second consecutive offseason in which QB Tony Romo is rehabilitating from back surgery. His work in these sessions has been limited, but he wasn’t cleared to do anything in organized team activities or minicamp last year.
“Miles ahead of last year," Romo said of his conditioning now compared to last June. “I don’t think they’re comparable. I think last year I was just starting around this point so this year I’ve had whatever months to kind of get myself into feeling like I can go." (Dallas Morning News)
FFToday's Take:With the Cowboys' defense expected to be among the worst in the NFL, Romo will need to be in tip-top shape in order to keep Dallas in games. The 34-year-old should be among the league leaders in attempts and yards in 2014 and has plenty of weapons at his disposal, so he could be a darkhorse pick to finish among the top five fantasy quarterbacks this season.
