| Bengals trying to exploit Sanu's versatility OC Hue Jackson using third-year WR all over formation By: Mike Krueger | Jun 16 2014, 2:40 pm
| In the two years that new Bengals OC Hue Jackson spent in Oakland, he helped Marcel Reece earn the nickname the “Matchup Nightmare.” Jackson used Reece as a fullback, tailback, and even had him line up at wide receiver to take advantage of his unique skills as a runner and receiver. Could Jackson have similar things in mind for Mohamed Sanu?
Sanu was a jack-of-all-trades in three years at Rutgers, finishing his career with 12 TD catches, nine TD runs, and four TD passes. In two years with the Bengals, Sanu has 63 receptions, nine rushing attempts and has completed both of his passes - including a 73-yard touchdown to A.J. Green. (Bengals.com)
FFToday's Take: Green called Sanu "dynamic" while Marvin Jones suggested his fellow draft classmate has "gotten a lot faster and more explosive". Jones' statement sounds classic offseason hyperbole, but there's no question Sanu is a movable chess piece that was not utilized all that much under former OC Jay Gruden. With Green and Jones now seemingly entrenched into starting spot, Sanu may have to settle for a being a "niche" player going forward.
