Titans release Kicker Rob Bironas 85.7 % for his career By: Mike Krueger | Mar 19 2014, 8:00 pm
In cutting kicker Rob Bironas, the Titans are hoping to get a younger, stronger leg while saving a good chunk of money under the salary cap as well. Bironas connected on 85.7 percent of his attempts (239 of 279) over his nine seasons with Tennessee. (The Tennessean)
FFToday's Take:Bironas was set to make around $3 million this season. His average length of kickoff has dropped in recent years. The Titans will likely go with an young, unproven kicker in 2014 but aren't expected to select one in the upcoming draft.
