New Orleans

Sproles released by Saints
Shakeup in running back corps
By: Mike Krueger | Mar 7 2014, 7:00 pm

The team released veteran receiver Lance Moore in the latest move to get under the salary cap. Running back Darren Sproles is apparently gone too. Shortly after reports surfaced that the team would cut him, he wrote a goodbye to fans via Twitter on Friday night. "Thank you New Orleans for your support over the past 3 years! I will always be forever grateful. WhoDat," Sproles wrote. (Times-Picayune)

FFToday's Take: The Sproles move hasn't been made official yet but it is expected to happen soon. Moore and Sproles were being shopped in the last couple days but both will hit the free agent market on March 11th. The moves help the Saints get under the $133 million salary cap. With reports of Pierre Thomas on the trade block as well, Khiry Robinson should be a name fantasy owners get used to.
